Copperas Cove’s annual Krist Kindl Markt kicks off December 4 with blocks of holiday shopping, activities for youngsters and food galore.

Sponsored by the Copperas Cove Downtown Association, the City of Copperas Cove and the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce, the event was inspired by the traditional German holiday bazaars.

Booths featuring everything from gourmet baskets to yard art will open for business at 4pm on Friday, December 4 in the downtown area at Avenue E and Main Street. 

Shopping begins again on Saturday, December 5 at 9am as booths open with the Copperas Cove Christmas Parade starting at 6pm. 

Entertainment will be featured throughout the festival plus special activities for youngsters.  A petting zoo and puppets make up part of the activities aimed for the younger crowd.

Food items this year include traditional German schnitzel and bratwurst, Texas barbeque, Mexican food and homemade cheese cakes plus everyone’s festival favorites—funnel cake and kettle corn. 

Festival times are 4pm-9pm on Friday, 9am-9pm on Saturday, and 9am-3pm on Sunday.  There is no charge for admission.  More than 100 vendors are scheduled.
